Evolar about image

About

Evolar is leading the evolution in solar by commercializing the next generation of photovoltaics by offering a solution that enables industrial-scale production of perovskite tandem solar cells.

Evolar AB

Evolar AB was founded in 2019 and boasts one of the industry’s most experienced teams of solar cell experts. We have more than 30 years of experience in solar cell production and have already successfully commercialized thin-film solar cell technology.

Evolar has a unique proprietary technology for manufacturing of perovskite cells through 20 years of production, process development as well as sales and distribution of thin film modules with multiple world records on cell efficiency. We have deep knowledge of continuous improvement, cost control and durability on finished modules.

Boosting Solar Power

At Evolar, we are on a mission to bring solar power to everyone by putting highly efficient and affordable perovskite tandem solar cells within reach around the world.

Evolar has quickly established itself as a key player in the race to commercialize perovskite tandem solar cell technology with our PV Power Booster technology and PV Power Booster Line production solution.

Though conventional solar technology is good, we know it can be even better. By boosting solar power, Evolar provides a way of producing even more highly efficient solar panels, moving towards a carbon-free world faster than ever before.

Our Headquarters

Evolar AB is located in Uppsala, Sweden and our 2500 sqm facilities include advanced R&D labs as well as a complete pilot production line.

R&D

Evolar has already successfully commercialized thin-film solar cell technology. We understand the process, have the facilities, and know the formula for successfully scaling up tandem solar cell production. We have the capabilities to test combinations of various deposition methods in vacuum with high throughput and flexibility on substrate size of 125x125 mm2

Prototype Production Line

A prototype production line is already operational at Evolar headquarters, enabling us to run experiments 24/7 so we can design and engineer PV Power Booster Line production modules to meet the specific needs of our customers. Our pilot line includes an evaporator, sputters, ALD, CVD and scriber for a substrate size of 1190x630 mm2 with processes equivalent to high volume production.
